In this study, the purpose was to investigate whether or not there is a difference between the educational status of the parents and the access of secondary school 7th grade students to values. The population of the study consisted of 306 students studying at private and state schools in Erzincan National Education Directorate of the City. 172 of the students were boys and 134 of them were girls. The Descriptive Model was used in the study. The Student Value Scale, which was developed by Akbaş (2004), was used as the data collection tool. The Anova Test was used in the analysis of the data. According to the analysis results, a significant difference was detected between the “aesthetic” values and the educational status of the mothers; and “being tolerant” and the educational status of the fathers. In the light of the results obtained in the study, various recommendations were made to make students achieve higher values, and to detect the reasons of the differences that were determined in the study.
