Seasonal Change of Zooplankton Abundance, Body Length and Egg Number in Three Freshwater Reservoirs (Hatay)

Abstract

The study was carried out seasonally in 2009 in Gölkent 1 Reservoir, Gölkent 2 Reservoir and Topboğazı Dam Lake, located within the borders of Hatay province. While temperature was lower in winter in every sampling localities, dissolved oxygen was high for the same period. When the temperature was found high in summer, dissolved oxygen was found low. pH values did not show change depending on the season. In the study, 7 species from Copepoda, 8 species from Cladocera, a total of 15 species were identified. Most species (15 species) were found in the spring, and Bosmina longirostris and Cyclops vicinus determined to be the most abundant species. It was determined the body length of most species reached in winter season. Moina micruraCeriodaphnia pulchellaDiaphanosoma birgeiAlona rectangula, Eudiaptomus drieschi produced eggs all sampling periods and Chydorus sphaericus produced three sampling periods except winter.

Üç Tatlısu Kaynağındaki (Hatay) Zooplankton Bolluğu, Vücut Uzunluğu ve Yumurta Miktarının Mevsimsel Değişimi

Abstract

Araştırma, Hatay il sınırları içerisinde bulunan Gölkent 1 Rezervuarı; Gölkent 2 Rezervuarı ve Topboğazı Göleti’nde 2009 yılında mevsimsel olarak yürütülmüştür. Örneklemenin yapıldığı her üç rezervuarda da sıcaklık kışın düşük belirlenirken aynı dönem için çözünmüş oksijen yüksek bulunmuştur. Sıcaklığın yüksek bulunduğu yazın ise çözünmüş oksijen düşük değerlerde bulunmuştur. pH değerlerinin ise mevsime bağlı önemli bir değişim göstermediği belirlenmiştir. Çalışmada Kladoser grubundan 8 tür ve kopepod grubundan 7 tür olmak üzere toplam 15 tür belirlenmiş, en çok tür (15 tür) ilkbaharda bulunmuş ve kladoserlerden Bosmina longirostris, kopepodlardan Cyclops vicinus’un en fazla bulunan türler olduğu belirlenmiştir. Kladoser ve kopepod türlerinin çoğunun kış mevsiminde daha büyük boylu oldukları belirlenmiştir. Moina micrura, Ceriodaphnia pulchella, Diaphanosoma birgei, Alona rectangula Eudiaptomus drieschi her mevsim, Chydorus sphaericus’un kış hariç üç mevsim yumurtalı bireylerine rastlanmıştır.
