2450 MHz elektromanyetik radyasyonun sıçanların FSH, LH ve Total Testosteron seviyelerinde meydana getirdiği değişiklikler

Year 2009, Volume: 16 Issue: 4, 10 - 14, 30.12.2009

Abstract

Amaç: 2450 MHz elektromanyetik alanın sıçanların FSH, LH ve Total Testosteron hormonlarında oluşturduğu değişiklikler araştırıldı. Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışmada 3 aylık Wistar Albino erkek sıçanlar kullanılmıştır. Sıçanlar rastgele altışarlı 3 gruba ayrılmıştır. I- Kafes Kontrol (n=6) II- Sham Kontrol (n=6) III- EMA grubu, 3.21 W/kg SAR değerinde manyetik alan 4 hafta günde 1 saat olarak uygulanmıştır.

Abstract

Effects of 2450 MHz electromagnetic field on the reproductive hormones in rats

Aim: The aim of the current study is to investigate the effects of 2450 MHz Electromagnetic field on FSH, LH, Total Testosterone hormones changes in rats. Material and Methods: In this study, 3 months-old Wistar Albino rats were used. Rats were randomly divided into three groups. I- Cage Control (n=6) II- Sham Control (n=6) III- EMF Group, 3.21 W/kg SAR magnetic field was applied for one hour per a day during 4 weeks. Results: At the end of the experiment, no animal died due to the magnetic field. Follicle Stimulant Hormone and Luteinize hormone hormones levels were measured, and there were no statistical significant difference between these two groups (p>0,05). Also total testosterone levels were measured, there was statistically significant difference between groups (p<0,05). In electromagnetic group, the levels of testosterone were decreased. Decreasing the levels of the total testosterone, might be due to the morphological changes in testis tissue as a result of increased temperature.

Key words: Electromagnetic Field, Wireless Networks, Reproductive hormones.
