Abstract
İzmir Körfezi pelajik amfipod ve dağılımlarını saptamak amacıyla Nisan 2000- Nisan 2005 yılları arasında bu çalışma gerçekleştirilmiştir. Örneklemelerde 200 µm ağ göz açıklığı olan Unesco WP2 zooplankton kepçesi kullanılarak, derinlikleri 10–74 m arasında değişen 34 istasyonda vertikal örneklemeler yapılmıştır. Örneklerin incelenmesi sonucunda 6 familyaya ait 18 tür tespit edilmiştir. Bu türlerden 5’i Parathemisto oblivia (Kroyer), Lestrigonus curcipes (Bovallius,1889), Lestrigonus macrophytalmus (Vosseler, 1901), Primno latreillei (Stebbing, 1888), Paralycae gracilis (Claus, 1879). İzmir Körfezi için yeni kayıttır. Bu türlerin Dış I, İç ve Orta Körfez’de bulunmadığı belirlenmiştir

Abstract
In order to determine the pelagic amphipods and their distribution in İzmir Bay, this study has been carried out from April 2000 to April 2005. Samples were taken horizontally from 34 stations at various depths (10-74 m) by using Unesco WP2 plankton net with a mesh size of 200 µm. As a result of the examination of the sampled material, a total of 18 taxa belongs to 6 families were determined. Five of them are firstly recorded from İzmir Bay Parathemisto oblivia (Kroyer), Lestrigonus curcipes (Bovallius,1889), Lestrigonus macrophytalmus (Vosseler, 1901), Primno latreillei Stebbing, 1888, Paralycae gracilis Claus, 1879. The pelagic amphipods were not found in outer I, the inner bay and in the middle bay
