MICROSCOPIC FEATURES OF ANGEL FISH (Pterophyllum scalare ,SCHULTZE 1823) OVARY

Abstract

In this study, the morphological structure of ovaries of Angel fish (Pterophyllum scalare) which are originated from Amazon River was observed under light microscopy. Fish ovaries at the maturation stage, were mounted using by histological techniques. When the structure of the ovaries of freshwater angel fish (P. scalare) observed, ovaries at chromatin nucleolar, perinucleolar, cortical alveolar, vitellogenic, and maturation stage were detected. It is suggested that, the present study will be helpful for the artificial production of Angelfish.

MELEK BALIĞI (Pterophyllum scalare , Schultze 1823) OVARYUMUNUN MİKROSKOPİK ÖZELLİKLERİ

Abstract

Bu çalışmada Amazon nehri kökenli Melek balıklarının (Pterophyllum scalare) ovaryumlarının morfolojik yapısı ışık mikroskobu altında incelenmiştir. Cinsel olgunluk aşamasındaki balıkların ovaryumları histolojik yöntemler uygulanarak bloklar haline getirilmiştir. Melek balığı (P. scalare) ovaryumunun histolojik yapısı incelendiğinde kromatin evre, nükleolus evre, perinükleolar evre, kortikol alveolar evre, vitellogenik evre ve olgunlaşma evresi tespit edilmiştir. Bu çalışmanın melek balıklarının yapay üretimi konusunda yarar sağlayacağı önerilmiştir.
